Condolences

Condolence From: David Pinto
Condolence: So sorry to hear of Ed Falkner's passing.
I agree with Peter Gurd, who described Ed as "a calm, always polite and respectful person." I remember Ed from Saturday afternoons in the first half of the 1970's, when he would arrive in the newsroom with Monday's layouts.
Condolences to the entire family.
David Pinto, Editorial, 1968-2007.

Condolence From: Peter Gurd
Condolence: So saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. What a wonderful man. Ed hired me at The Gazette on January 4th 1964. It was my first job and it was the beginning of a 45 year career in the newspaper business.
I remember Ed as a calm, always polite and respectful person. Laying out a newspaper in those days was not an easy task. Unfortunately I had not seen Ed in many, many years.
Deepest condolences to the entire family.
Peter Gurd
