FALKNER, EDWARD
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward F.E. Falkner on December 25th, 2017 at the age of 90 years. A native of Montréal, Edward worked at the Montreal Gazette for 42 years. He was a dedicated family man and was known as a skilled hockey and softball player in his youth and quickly picked up golf in his retirement. Son of Edward “Ted” and Pansy Falkner, Eddie will be greatly missed by his wife of 69 years, Ada (nee Skelton), children Gale, Terri (Peter) and Bruce (Deanna). Cherished grandfather to Michael and Brian (Jenn) Oliver, Jeff and Chris MacLean, Kelcie and Kristin Falkner and great-grandchildren Jorda, Noah and Arlo. A private service will be held in Oakville, Ontario. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences can be left at www.smithsfh.com
