Sandy was a classmate and also a housemate (Sandy, Tom Foster and I rented a house together our last year of university) at Guelph. A quiet strong guy, we could always count on Sandy's sly, dry humor to clarify whatever the situation might be. And a sharp, perceptive wit, at that. All good memories. Not surprising to read of his impactful career and the fellowship he developed with so many his work touched. I think all who attended our class reunion in 2014 we're glad to see Sandy and Lou again, clearly as close as they were when we knew them first at university. Very best wishes to Lou and family, Roger
