Condolence: Dear Lou It is with a heavy heart I send.
My thoughts and prayers out to you and your family. I will miss our many
Letters and the laughs we shared over stories of my family visiting with his s a young boy. May he fly free to all the beautiful places he had captured on his many pictures. I will remember him fondly.
Please know you are in our prayers.
A special cousin I will always treasure.

Condolence From: Rob Hilton,LA '76
Condolence: So Sorry to learn Lou for you and your family about the too young death of Sandy .Such a generous man with his abundant and gentle humour.Last time I saw you both was 2014 at our Class Reunion and Sandy hadn't changed a bit . Now 'suddenly' he is gone .
Our Class of '76 organized a gathering at a Muskoka Cottage late August in Sandy's memory and sitting in the late summer sun on a dock on a bay of Lake Joseph we regaled one another with Sandy stories. Can only imagine the profoundness of your loss .
We have organized a tribute tree planting in honour of his public conservation/environmental services this September in Dundas Valley .
Sincere condolences ,Rob

Condolence From: Roger Courtenay
Condolence: Sandy was a classmate and also a housemate (Sandy, Tom Foster and I rented a house together our last year of university) at Guelph. A quiet strong guy, we could always count on Sandy's sly, dry humor to clarify whatever the situation might be. And a sharp, perceptive wit, at that. All good memories. Not surprising to read of his impactful career and the fellowship he developed with so many his work touched. I think all who attended our class reunion in 2014 we're glad to see Sandy and Lou again, clearly as close as they were when we knew them first at university. Very best wishes to Lou and family, Roger

Condolence: So sad to hear of Sandy's passing...at the young age of 65. I went to both high school and university with Sandy and had lost touch with him over the years but have nothing but fond memories of his husky voice, big smile and a great sense of fun. Pauline Thornton.

Condolence From: Dianne Chappel and Al Shantz
Condolence: We were both so shocked and saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. Al knew him from the H.C.A. and was so happy for Sandy when he retired at Christmas. Al always spoke highly of Sandy and felt that he was a very hard worker and great guy to get along with.
I knew him during his U. of G days and remember his love of photography even then. He would wander campus taking black and whites to develop later. He was a wonderful guy and our hearts go out to you, Lou, as well as all of your family.

Condolence: Dear Lou and Family of Sandy's, I'm so sad and shocked to hear of Sandy's passing...I worked with Sandy for many years at the HCA and loved to see his wonderful photos and beg him for a shot to use for a brochure or interpretive panel. He was always so interested in helping me and you just knew what a kind and loving man he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terribly sad time. Sincerely, Tricia Leong Graphic Artist at the HCA xxxooo
