Obituary for Ranald "Dan" McBain

Ranald "Dan"  McBain
Passed peacefully at Wellington Park Care Centre on Friday, February 23, 2018 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Shirley. Cherished brother of Finlay, Neil and Kathie. Predeceased by parents Alexander and Kathleen and siblings Joseph, Allan, Gail , and Alexander “Skip”. Dan was a Royal Canadian Airforce Police veteran, active June 1961- June 1966 and a minor league hockey coach in Montreal and Burlington. Long time employee of Canadian Pacific Railway. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church (4072 New Street, Burlington) on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. For those who wish memorial donations to the Wellington Park Care Centre, the Alzheimer’s Society or the Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
