Obituary for Jack Leroy Chambers
After a life well lived, filled with the joy of family, friends, and laughter, Jack passed away peacefully on Monday 5th February at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, with his family by his side. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, he was the son of the late Florence Harrison and Leverne Chambers and brother of the late Bill Chambers (Tina).
Loved husband of Catherine (Broughton) for 65 years, loving and cherished father to Jan Robertson (Bill), Lynn DeBoer (Rob) and Ann Gibson. He will be greatly missed by his 6 grandchildren, Adrienne (David) Brown, Meaghan (Brendan) Bridge, Kate (Ryan) Smith, Jessa (Dan) Walker, Jeff and Kelly Gibson, and his 4 great grandchildren, Carter, Griffin, Audrey and Riley. Fondly remembered by the extended Broughton family.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Billings Court for Jack’s care the last two years, with special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff on Kent House.
A Memorial Gathering in celebration of Jack’s life will take place at Smith’s Funeral Home, Guelph Line, Burlington, on Sunday 11th February from 3-6 pm. Jack loved bright, happy colours, please feel free to dress accordingly.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society, Carpenter Hospice or a charity of your choice.
