Condolence From: Sharon McDonald
Condolence: On behalf of myself and my mother (Marjorie Taylor) we send our most sincere condolences to the family. Although my mom cannot be there with you today,(due to ill health) she is there in spirit and sends much love and prayers to you all! She often spoke so lovingly of a brother who was kind, gentle and made her laugh AND introduced her to her favourite singer Gene Autry!! May Vernon now rest in peace in his heavenly home.

Condolence From: Kirk Hughes & Family
Condolence: "Uncle Vern" was a big part of my life growing up as a child. A friend to my late father, Bruce Hughes, Vern got me interested in the Fire Service. I remember vividly visiting Vern when he was the district chief at the old #2 station. Although I got on to Station #5 after Vern had retired from the fire service, I did get to work with Vern when I got hired at Ball Packaging in the late 1990's. He was a great role model and a fine family friend. D/Chief Kirk Hughes - MD of Taber Regional Fire Service.

Condolence: Vern excelled in everything he did & was very well liked at the Burlington Fire Department. Vern was one of the kindest person I had ever had the privilege to work with at #2 Station. Vern will be sadly missed by his family and all he worked with. Rest in peace my friend.
