Obituary for Doug Jarvis

Doug Jarvis
JARVIS, Doug “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” Doug lived his life passionately and to the fullest for 75 years. His enthusiasm for life and toy collecting led he and Bev on 50 years of adventures. He was a proud and loving dad to Sari (Greg), Patti (Roger) and Becky (Adam). He was Papa extraordinaire to Allie, Mark, Mia, Kate, Anna, Scott and Alexander. He put his body through a lot in the past few years and tackled his health struggles with stubbornness and grace...most of the time. We would like to thank Dr. Scott, Dr. Leber and all the doctors of the Juravinski Clinic for helping him battle. It’s been an amazing ride, and we would invite you to join us in celebrating it at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 10 Mountain Street, Grimsby, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House or the Juravinski Hospital (Stem Cell Research) would be greatly appreciated.
