Obituary for Adam Sotnicki

Adam Sotnicki
Adam Anthony Sotnicki Oct. 27, 1950- Mar.14, 2019

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Adam Anthony Sotnicki at home surrounded by family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Adam is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Anna Sotnicki and son Paul Sotnicki (Nicole). He is predeceased by his parents Marian and Anna Sotnicki and his grandson Aiden. Adam will be lovingly remember and dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Adam was born in Poland and arrived in Canada with his parents in 1961. During his youth, Adam spent many summers at the Polish sea scout camp Bałtyk in Kaszuby near Barry's Bay. He fell in love with the area and boating, and soon persuaded his parents to purchase property on Kamaniskeg Lake. He spent his working career in the Bank (CIBC and The Ukrainian Credit Union), and his free time on many handyman projects at his cottage and second home in Barry’s Bay. Adam also enjoyed travelling with his wife and family to the beach, notably Hilton Head Island where they went annually.

Please join us in celebrating Adam’s life. The visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home at 1167 Guelph Line Burlington, ON Wednesday Mar. 20, 2019 from 6 until 9pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday Mar.21, 2019 at 11am at St. Paul the Apostle Parish 2265 Headon Rd. in Burlington ON followed by a reception at the church hall.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Adam to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) would be appreciated (www.cancerassist.ca)
