STEENKIST, Henry John
On Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the age of 90, Henry peacefully went home to glory. He was a man of God who loved his family. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Steenkist (nee Vermeulen). Loving father of Marlene (Ken), Richard (Aida), Audrey and Dion (Christina). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Christina), Yolanda (Paul), Ashley, Shaun, Dion, Julianna, Harrison and Vanessa (Nathan) and great grandfather of Xander, Kathryn, Judah, Eli, Asher, Joram, Thomas and Nicholas. Henry is survived by his siblings in Holland, Simon (Leni) and Rieki. As per his wishes, visitation will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 621 Hamilton Regional Rd 8, Stoney Creek on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1p.m. Interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Henry are asked to please consider the CNIB.
