Obituary for Doris Kathleen Clark (Copp)

Doris Kathleen Clark (Copp)
CLARK, Doris Kathleen (nee Copp) -

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Christopher Terrace Retirement Home in Burlington on Wednesday December 26, 2018 in her 99th year. Predeceased by loving husband Howard Clark (2011). Cherished mother of Janice Pearce (Stan) of Burlington, Greg Clark (JoAnne) of Courtice, and Rosemary Savage (Steve) of St. Thomas. Caring grandmother of Kevin, Craig, Kyle, Kim, Nick, Adam, and Lisa and great-grandmother to Elyse and Annie. Devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed staying in touch with. Doris was full of creativity and was passionate about quilting and making other handiwork for loved ones. These items will be cherished by her family and friends for many years. Her friendliness endeared her to those who knew her during Doris and Howard's years in Milton, Keene and Peterborough. Doris' move to Burlington in 2012 enlarged her circle of friends at the Regency Court apartment, St. Christopher's Anglican Church, the Seniors Centre and most recently Christopher Terrace Retirement Home. Doris will be missed for her kind and generous spirit. Special thanks to Dr. Kimberly Walsh, staff at Christopher Terrace Retirement Home and the LHIN Palliative Care Team for their dedicated care and support. As per Doris’ wishes, private cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church (662 Guelph Line, Burlington), on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:00am. Reception to immediately follow at the church. Private Interment at Keene Cemetery (Peterborough) to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doris to Open Doors of St. Christopher's (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/108099771RR0019-st-christophers-church/#donate-now-pane) or charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
