Obituary for Roy Thomas Johnston

JOHNSTON, Roy Thomas
Passed away peacefully at Cama Woodlands, surrounded by his children. Loving father of Robert (Sharon), Rhonda (Peter), Gerry (Elaine) and Cara (Mark). Cherished grandfather and great grandfather. Beloved brother of Bill (Lois) and Mo, he is predeceased by siblings Allen, Ethel, Clarence and Don. Survived by his first wife Axie Ferguson. Predeceased by his second wife Eunice Matthews. He will be fondly remembered by Helen (Snyder) Cottle. Roy worked as a school teacher and in car sales at both Holland Chev Olds and Queenston Chev Olds. Special thank you to the staff at Cama Woodlands for their care and compassion. As per Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1p.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment, Greenwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Roy are asked to please consider the Alzheimer Society, Cama Woodlands or S.E.N.A.C.A. Seniors Day Program.
