Obituary for Winona Desjardins (Rogers)
Desjardins, Winona
Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Florian Desjardins. Loving mother of Barry Shirley (Joanne), Karen Redwood (John), Wendy Shirley (Bob), Vickie Cooper (Paul), Derrick Shirley (Dawn) and Guy Desjardins (Dusty). Proud grandmother of Joe Timbers (Sarah), Harley Shirley, Michael Shirley, Vanessa Cooper and Alysha Cooper. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Ethel Rogers. Winona will also be missed by her extended family, in-laws and friends. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at The Carpenter Hospice for their care and compassion. A further thank you to the PSWs from Home Care as well as the attending physicians, Dr. Ng and Dr. Jackman from Birchtree Medical Centre. A Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3-6pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of Winona can be made to The Carpenter Hospice.
