Condolences

Condolence From: Mary Adams
Condolence: My sincerest condolences to the Potts family. I had the pleasure of working for Lyman as his secretary in the Canadian Talent Library in the mid seventies. He possessed a wealth of knowledge of the radio business and enjoyed the movie industry. He was a kind, enthusiastic and fun gentleman with a sweet smile.

Condolence: I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Potts while working at my very first job as a Dietary Attendant at Martha's Landing. He was a long time resident and always showed respect to all. His son, Joel, would always visit and take care of his father. They would always have tea together ♡ Condolences to Joel and to the family. I am honored to have known him.

Condolence From: Sidney Margles
Condolence: I had the privilege and pleasure of working for and with Lyman over many years...at CJAD in Montreal and in Toronto and Ottawa.
He was a real gentleman who shared his vast knowledge and helped in the on-going development of radio broadcasting. In some ways, he was a mentor to me and many others who prospered in the broadcasting industry. We worked hard, but enjoyed what we did.
Lyman was a self-made broadcasting historian and much of his knowledge was chronicled in the internet-based documents of the Canadian Communications Foundation. It was at Lyman's invitation that I made a contribution by writing the history of news broadcasting for the second half of the 20th century. He in turn wrote my biography.
May his memory be for a blessing to his son Joel and all members of his extended family.
