We will remember "Gates" as a wonderful husband to our maid-of-honour Penny, and a devoted father to to their daughter Channi. We didn't see them often, but every time we conquered the distance it was just like we lived next door. We will remember the Sequence and card games where he was a fun-loving competitor. We shall miss him .

Gates was always a soft spoken, gentle and nice man. When we lived and growing up in Montreal, Gates was my fathers cool cousin and fellow Habs fan we would visit periodically. He will be missed and I'm sure there is a very special place in heaven where he will look down on us.
