Venema, Grietje "Margaret" (nee Schuiling)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Chartwell Brant Centre Long Term Care, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Egbert "Ed" (1991). Loving mother to Margaret Smith (David), John (Dolly), Edward (Mimma), Ben (Joanne), Henry (Pam). Cherished grandmother of Christopher, the late Timothy (2017), Valerie, Nicholas, Eddie, Sabrina, Brenden, John Henry, and Hannah. Proud great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Margaret will be missed by her many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands and by her much-loved Jelly Bean.

Margaret was a longtime parishioner and member of the Holy Rosary CWL. She enjoyed being a part of the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club for almost 20 years. Special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Brant Centre, Dr. Karnis, and Best Care Personal Support Workers, especially Dominique and Susan.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church (287 Plains Rd. E.) on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. For those who wish memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
