Condolences

Condolence From: Marguerite Grandison
Condolence: In early January of 1995 I slipped on the icy sidewalk at the corner of Lakeshore Road and Hampton Heath. The Scotiabank on the corner had been been built yet. With a suspected broken arm I was stuck sitting there. While waiting for the ambulance a crowd had gathered, however, out of the mumbling I heard a voice speaking to me. It was Dudley's. Such a feeling of calmness took over my being so that I was able to regain my wits. I did not know it at the time but Dudley and Eve had recently moved into my apartment building so thus our friendship began and my husband, Tom, was delighted to have another British Navy man on site. I missed them dreadfully when they moved to Appleby Line, however the image of Dudley coming home from his morning ride/walk and our quick conversations will remain with me forever. Now God has another angel. I am so sorry.

Condolence From: Jacqueline Darby-Robinson
Condolence: Commissioner Dudley Coles in the late 1970's encouraged my Writings. Some articles were printed in The War Cry, The Young Soldier and Home Leaguer. Commissioner Coles was a man filled with the love of Jesus and he shared that to all persons he met. He was a kind, considerate, devout Christian who shared the Gospel around the world. I was blessed to have him influence my life and my writings. His advise was always positive and he encouraged you to keep taking up your sharpened Quill Pen. Although he has been "Promoted To Glory" his influence will always be remembered. My condolences and prayers to his wife Evangeline and his family.
