Obituary for Connie Stagnitta

Connie  Stagnitta
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie, while surrounded by her loving family, at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Charles with whom she celebrated 55 years, loving mother of Maria Bucciarelli, Nancy Campbell (Tim) and Jamie Stagnitta, devoted Nonna to Amanda, Kelsey and Jacob, with a special place in her heart for Kris, Andrew and MacKenzie. Beloved Daughter of Angelo and Ignazia Di Salvo, and dear sister of Cono Di Salvo (Angela), Pino Di Salvo (Olga), Sam Di Salvo (Brenda), Tanino Di Salvo (Rosalba), Lina Guarnaccia (Pino), Maria Spitale (Carmelo) and Rita Di Salvo (Luigi). Beloved Sister in-law to Lina and the late Giuseppe Stagnitta, the late Guiseppina and Salvatore Spitale, the late Angela and Salvatore Pepe, the late Mauro Stagnitta. Loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and dear cousin to many in Canada, Vancouver Canada, Italy and Germany. Connie also held a very special place in her heart for her cherished friends with whom she shared many good times and memories. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 834 Highway #8, Winona, on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be sincerely appreciated. The family would like to give special thanks to the Juravanski Cancer Centre, Dr. Phillip Staibano and all of the homecare workers for the assistance and care they provided for their cherished mother.
