Condolence From: Malcolm family
Condolence: We are all so sad to hear of Joan's passing, and our hearts go out to her family. The Malcolm family met Joan through our husband and father, Bill Malcolm, for whom Joan began working as legal secretary starting in 1964. Joan was a loyal and dedicated employee and friend, who worked with Bill for over 40 years. The tremendous depth of her loyalty and integrity of character can be seen from the following example: when Bill's health began to falter in 2012 and his firm's bookkeeper sadly passed away, Joan returned to the firm, after more than 10 years of retirement, and out of the goodness of her heart, to help Bill, his family and his clients, with the orderly closing of the firm. Throughout her life, Joan was always a veritable fireball of energy and livened up every room graced by her presence. She had a unique talent and ability to make people laugh, giggle and smile, and we'll never forget her voice and vigour. I guess that for every action there is an opposite reaction, which is why we are suffering sadness and grief to such a degree, as it is in balance with the measure of happiness by which she so brightened our lives. We will miss her, and our sincere condolences go out to her family. - The Malcolm family
