Obituary for John William Grysak

John William Grysak
GRYSAK, John William -

Passed away unexpectedly at his home in Burlington on Friday September 7, 2018 at the age of 71. Loving and cherished husband of Joanne (nee Hancharek) for 46 years. Proud and devoted father of Iain Grysak and Blair Grysak. Dear brother in law of Janet Hancharek (Ray Romard) and the late Debra Hancharek. Cherished uncle of Jennifer Miller (Rob) and their children Maguire and Riley, and Adrian Collison (Michelle). Dear cousin of Ian and Betty Drummond in Scotland and the Cyganek family in Poland. John will also be dearly missed by other extended relatives, numerous friends and previous colleagues from his time as an elementary teacher with the Peel District School Board. Special thank you to all of Halton’s First Responders who assisted our family during this difficult time. As per John’s wishes, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church (2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington), on Thursday September 13, 2018 at 11:00am. Reception to immediately follow in the church hall. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Burlington Humane Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
