Obituary for Murray Cecil Steele

Murray Cecil Steele
Murray passed away peacefully at the Carpenter Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Peggy. Loving father of Cindy Gollinger (Brian), Chris Steele (Michelle Wright) and Tim Steele. Proud grandfather to four beautiful granddaughters Heather, Stephanie, Amanda and Caitlyn. Dear brother of Sylvia Burgher and Eric Steele. Predeceased by his father and mother, Cecil and Vera Steele.

Murray grew up in small coastal village in Nova Scotia, and met his sweetheart and future wife Peggy in grade school. He graduated from Nova Scotia Tech and began a career with Westinghouse. He later relocated his family to Ontario. A licensed electrical Engineer he had a focus on details and a passion for people. Murray’s greatest contribution was his devotion to all of his family and to the community at large. We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of the caring staff at Carpenter Hospice.
