Obituary for Maxine Eleanore Wilson (Cowan)
Wilson, Maxine
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 17, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Roy Wilson for 62 years. Loving mother of Brad Wilson (Kris) and Deb Bartlett (Shawn). Proud grandma of Jesse, Colleen, Tommy, Curtis and Tamara and great grandma of Revy. Cherished sister of Joy & Ken Thompson, the late Pauline & Claire Hodgins, and the late Wanda & Ken Stapleton, sister-in-law of Leone Macnamara (Don), and the late Harvey Wilson (Lucille). Maxine will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews and friends. Maxine worked as a Clerk Stenographer in the early years, and then stayed home to raise her children, with Lady, her constant companion, by her side. She enjoyed summers at the cottage in Point Clark and loved to travel; especially to Barbados with Roy. Special thanks to the Staff at Sunrise Senior Living in Windsor for the excellent care and compassion shown to Maxine over the past year. In keeping with Maxine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
