MARSH, Ronald Calvin

Passed away exactly as he wanted: peacefully and in the company of his family at home in Burlington on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his partner in life and beloved wife, Felicia Marsh. Cherished father of Ron Marsh and father-in-law of Joan Sweeney Marsh. Proud grandfather of Rebecca Frances Marsh and Abigail Rose Marsh. Dear brother of Marjorie Hannan, Ethel Morrison, Boyd Marsh, and Archie Marsh. Ron will also be missed by many extended family members and friends. Ron lived for his family, devoted himself to them, and took the greatest pleasure in their successes. His role as a caring father evolved naturally into that of a caring grandfather (“Poppy”) as he took an active role in the daily life of both his grandchildren. Their milestones became Poppy’s milestones, and that, in and of itself, is a measure of his greatness. In lieu of a funeral and in accordance with Ron’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Saint Elizabeth Foundation’s End-of-Life Care Program would be greatly appreciated by the family.
