Passed away peacefully at Hampton Terrace Nursing Home on Thursday, August 9, 2018 with her daughter Shirley at her side. Beloved wife of the late John Phillip de la Perrelle. Dearly loved mother of Shirley Henderson and Julia de la Perrelle. Predeceased by her daughters Katherine Mary and Iva Jean de la Perrelle. Loving grandmother of Myles, Marney, Christina, Marie, Glen and Robert and great grandmother of 11 great grand children. Freda lived a fulfilled life. She was born and raised in New Brunswick, the family moved to Toronto and they later resided in Burlington. Freda was well known at the Bridge and Euchre tables. There was never a time that you would enter her home and a fresh made sweet was not in sight. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Special thank you to Hampton Terrace for their gentle, loving and caring staff. As per Freda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Freda are asked to please consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
