Obituary for Reita Kathleen McCurry (Cook)

Reita passed away peacefully at Shalom Manor on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late A. John (Jack) McCurry (1998). Loved mother of Patrick McCurry (Carolyn), Susan Kikkert (John) and Jill Wood (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Trevor McCurry (Lesley-Anne) and Ryan McCurry (Jodie), David Kikkert (Leanne), Jennifer Riordan (Brady) and Elizabeth Kikkert, Julia Douma-Wood (Jonathan), Sarah Wood and Steven Wood and great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Marion McKee (late Dave) and the late Reid Cook (late Jean). Special thanks to Dr. Matt, and to all of the staff at Maplecrest Village, The Carlisle, and Shalom Manor for your care. The family will greet visitors at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Shalom Manor would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
