Obituary for Carol Ann Sewell (Zimantas)

SEWELL, Carol Ann
nee Zimantas
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the age of 69. Beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Cornelia Zimantas. Loving wife of Edmund Sewell and caring step mother to Tammie Zabransky and Ian Sewell (Christine). Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn and Jackson. Survived by her brothers Michael Zimantas (Ardis) and Stanley Zimantas. Predeceased by her sister Diana and brother in law Alain Constantineau. Carol will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and generosity, always concerned about the wellbeing of others before her own. This was especially evident in how she cared for her grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Carol enjoyed reading, sewing, long walks and had a love for animals of all kinds, owning many horses and dogs over the years. Although retired for some time she had a long and successful career at DuPont Canada. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center for their care and compassion over the past 10 years. As per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 7-9p.m. Service of Remembrance will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:30a.m. Urn interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
