Obituary for Ashley Wende
July 11, 1990 - July 21,2018
We are heartbroken to announce that our beautiful Ashley has passed, she is in God's loving arms to become an Angel watching over us all. She was the light of all our lives. Ashley loved and was loved. She gave with all her heart to everyone she knew. Ashley leaves us with such loving memories to cherish forever. Ashley was the cherished love of James Stanton and her fur babies Sadie and Lucky. Ashley is the cherished daughter of Heather and John Wende. She will be greatly missed by Michelle and Stuart Durning and Jeff and Lori Wende. Granddaughter to Sidney and the late Grace Wyatt (2017) and Lifa Wende, her Omma. Ashley had a very close bond to her Aunt Rose and Tony Baker. Left to mourn her are Ernie and Pat Wende, Bill and Cheryl Wende, Erich and Linda Wende Rose Wende, and Alan Wyatt. She was close to many of her cousins especially Darren Mullin, Nicole Wende and Tyler Wende. Ashley was a loving aunt to Hailey and Madison Wende. She leaves loving family in BC, Kayla Durning, Lynden and Denelle Durning, Connor Durning, Kendra Ducharme, and Kalia Durning. She was cherished by Alison Stanton, and James Stanton Sr and Kathy Withers.
Ashley loved working in the dental field. She was a very proud Dental Assistant/Receptionist at Upper Appleby Dental. She loved working with and loved and respected Dr. Diego and Carlotta Paz. She felt like family to all the staff and patients she saw daily. Ashley truly flourished and grew working in such a caring professional dental office. Ashley loved her work family.
Ashley was a skater at Dofasco Skating Club and Hamilton Skating Club where she formed many friendships that lasted a lifetime. She had many wonderful coaches who helped develop her passion for skating. She also received her coaching certification from Skate Canada, her Skating Family.
Upon meeting James she developed a new interest with his Derby Cars and met many wonderful friends through Derby racing. She called them her Derby Family.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Friday, July, 27, 2018 from 5-9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. Cremation will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Burlington/Hamilton SPCA would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
Till we say our next hello, it's not goodbye
