Condolence: I’m so terribly sorry to hear of Pete’s passing. As an old friend and employee back in his printing days, it’s with much fondness that I look back on fun times in Burlington, cottage weekends, and many years of great memories with Pete. His vibrant and boisterous personality made him a magnet for all things fun and it was impossible to be in his company without good times and laughter ensuing.

Condolence: Peter.

You were one of life’s great characters; full of mischief and wisecracks much to the amusement and chagrin of those around you. You filled the room with your larger than life presence; whether arguing with my mum over the butter lid or telling every restaurant in Ontario that it was my dad’s birthday to embarrass him... but you were also genuinely loyal and loving. You offered sage advice from a life filled with rich experiences and always followed it with a round of shots.

I’ll never forget driving around in your jeep while you played Snow’s album and how you insisted he was the next great rapper or you serving steaks for breakfast. We bickered like siblings, we laughed like friends and we drank like sailors. The world has lost a little of its colour.

My deepest sympathy goes to Jackie and your beautiful boys.

Condolence: I have been lucky the have known Pete for 30 years. I cannot express how unbelievably sad I am to hear of his passing. He WAS LIFE...never anything halfway with Pete. I worked with him and also FOR him. The one memory that I cherish is when he bought his hotdog cart and he asked to borrow our pot-belly pig as a way of attracting potential customers. Although this news is devastating, I will forever smile when I think of him and his zest for life.
He was ONE OF A KIND and will live on in my heart and my soul.
I can only offer my deepest sympathies to his family. Pete taught us to enjoy life and to live every day to the fullest and I’ll do my best to follow his example.
Pete...the Frenchman will remember you always. Save me a seat at the table and when I get there...have a cold one ready! Cheers to you!

Condolence From: Adrian, Jen, Josh, Joey and Jake Peter-Manickam
Condolence: Jackie, Billy, Joey and Jake we are so sorry for your loss. Josh and I have been privileged to coach with Pete over the last 4 years, while Jake has been one of his players. Watching football games from the Nelson parking lot will not be the same without him there. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on in his immediate family and the numerous members of his football family whose lives he touched with his coaching.
