Obituary for Mary Lynne Cameron (Potma)

Mary Lynne Cameron (Potma)
CAMERON, Mary Lynne, M.Div (nee Potma)

Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the age of 48 after an almost 7-year courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ron Cameron. Loving mother of Adriana and Elise Cameron. Cherished daughter of Cor and Krina Potma and daughter-in-law of Henry and Zelma Cameron. Dear sister of Brenda Baranowski (Derek) and Kevin Potma (Sue). Mary Lynne will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Jack and Mason Baranowski and Paul, Larissa and Josh Potma as well as many extended family members and friends. Mary Lynne loved the country of Japan and the people she worked with when she spent 2 years there serving with Life Ministries. She left a piece of her heart in that country and hoped to return had it not been for her illness. Mary Lynne was able to finish her book entitled Dark Valley Joy (available on Amazon) in the last year. She hoped that it would change the perspective of many who read it. The family would like to thank all of the staff at both Juravinski Hospital and The Carpenter Hospice for their exceptional care and support. Also, a big Thank You to her Church Family whom she loved for all their support over the past several years. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday at North Burlington Baptist Church, 1377 Walkers Line, Burlington at 3p.m. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Carpenter Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
