Condolences

Condolence From: Wes and Betty Friesen
Condolence: Dear Mavis, Garth, Carla,Brad and Kevin and families
We want to express our condolences to you as you mourn the passing of your Husband and Dad. It is hard to believe he has passed on. We remember him as a friend , with his dry humour and a chuckle following his comments. Our years in Lloydminster included the friendship of the Nickorick family. You were always special to us and friends with our children.
Our love and sympathy go out to all of you.

Condolence: To Mavis and the family we send our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of a beloved father and husband.
It is with fond memories we look back at a time many years ago when our life paths crossed while in Lloydminster.
There are some people who journey through life and they just leave footprints wherever they go. Your family has done that. Whether at school where John taught...
Or at church where we attended together....the memories are vivid and much treasured.
John and Mavis passionately shared themselves and their gifts. Our family were recipients and participants in what they did. In music Mavis raised the standard of excellence and helped us rise to a level we could not visualize. She was a woman of vision and possibilities. I cannot thank her enough.
Although Your family has left Lloydminster many years ago, we still can see the trail they left behind.
They left footprints in our lives.
Somehow we can still hear the musical laughter of John, ringing in our ears.
Those memories are forever.
We send our love and prayers for Gods comfort and hope at this difficult time.

Condolence: Dear Mavis, Garth, Carla,Brad,Kevin, and family,
I was in Saskatoon, visiting friends, and read the Star Phoenix today. I am so sad to hear of John's passing. I have many memories of Mr. Nickorick, as my high school chemistry teacher, who tried to instill a love of the periodic table in me. Alas, understanding chemistry was not to be a successful venture for me. However, I recall your years as part of the community in Lloydminster, attending First Baptist Church, your love for music, your incredible sense of humor, and my eventual joining the ranks of being a teaching colleague with the LPSD, have all been wonderful memories to recall this day. Both John and Mavis were stellar members of the community and raised the bar for all things of excellence. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Regards,
Elayne Harris Lorenz
