Scott Nellis
My family and I run an earthmoving business out of the Acton area that was founded by my now deceased grandfather Mansell Nellis. Our paths crossed with Ron's several years ago and we were fortunate enough to have worked with him on various projects over the years. He appreciated our workmanship and the fact that we had a family run business founded in 1948. It was a very comforting feeling working for Ron that is hard to describe. When we had questions, he had answers. If there were problems, he found solutions. Ron made things happen, and at the end of the day we always knew that he would ensure that we got paid for the work we did. He had a sharp wit and uncanny sense of humour. Every time I saw him or talked to him on the phone he had a "one liner" that would have me in stitches. It got to the point where just making eye contact with him would make me smile and laugh. My relationship with Ron was on a professional level and not a personal level, but he often talked of his loving wife and family which gave me a glimpse into his personal life that sounded very fulfilling. They broke the mould when they made Ron Young and he was unparalleled in our industry and more importantly as a human being. I had an immense amount of respect for Ron and he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Ron will always be in our hearts and memories. It was a privilege and honor to know and work with him. His sense of humor made the workplace more enjoyable, he was one in a million and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Young family.
