Condolence From: Clem Pudjunas
Condolence: Sad to hear of the passing of my favourite Industrial Arts 'Shop' Teacher from Pineland Public School, Burlington in (1967)??
In Shop class, I constructed a wooden project that didn't quite meet my expectations, and I was reluctant to present it for grading.
Mr. Featherstone acknowledged the couple flaws, yet pointed out the many other features that were done correctly, and gave my project high marks. I learned from that experience, and still try to focus on the 'good' in something, and not dwell on the flaws. Thank you Mr. Featherstone for that life lesson.

Condolence: I met Mr. Featherstone a number of times, as Scott and I had met at University and become very good friends. His dad was always so friendly and welcoming when I came to his house. He always had a smile and sparked interesting conversations. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

Condolence From: Hugh (Malcolm) & Elsie Cleghorn
Condolence: Fred and I both attended OCE for the Industrial Arts course. Fred was living at his dad,s place on Hwy.5 and Elsie and I were temporarily living with my grandparents at Kingsholm Farms (The Kaiting House)on Hwy.5 while our house was being built in Tottenham. I would walk down the lane to Hwy.5 and Fred would pick me up on his way to OCE. We were saddened to learn of Fred's recent illnesses and of course, his passing. He was a talented teacher, creative woodworker and most of all, a good friend. We will miss him.
