Sad to hear of the passing of my favourite Industrial Arts 'Shop' Teacher from Pineland Public School, Burlington in (1967)??
In Shop class, I constructed a wooden project that didn't quite meet my expectations, and I was reluctant to present it for grading.
Mr. Featherstone acknowledged the couple flaws, yet pointed out the many other features that were done correctly, and gave my project high marks. I learned from that experience, and still try to focus on the 'good' in something, and not dwell on the flaws. Thank you Mr. Featherstone for that life lesson.
