Obituary for David Henry Walford

WALFORD, David Henry "Pops"
1939-2018

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, on July 3, 2018, at the age of 78. Much loved son of the late George and Margaret Walford. Beloved husband of Mary Ann Walford. Loving father of Betty Vergados. Proud grandfather of Jason Vergados and Vanessa Tait. Great-grandfather of Caiia Vergados, Jaxson, Zach and Chloe Tait. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Predeceased my his siblings Margaret Graham and Audrey McFarlane. David retired after 35 years of service in the offices of Ford Motor Company. After 3 years of service as a teletype operator for the Royal Canadian Air Force he was honourably released. David was a dedicated member of Glad Tidings Church and a faithful servant of the Lord. He contributed monetarily to Christian organizations such as: the 700 Club, World Vision, Jimmy Swaggert and other ministries and missionaries around the world.

Visitation at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church (1401 Guelph Line, Burlington) on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10-11am. A funeral service will be held in the sanctuary at 11:00am. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at the church. For those who wish, donations in memory of David can be made to a charity of choice.

Your love was unconditional and will always be imprinted in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again.
