Obituary for Roy Francis Wilson

Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, on June 22, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Maxine Wilson (nee Cowan) for 62 years. Loving father of Brad Wilson (Kris) and Deb Bartlett (Shawn). Proud grandpa of Jesse, Colleen, Tommy, Curtis and Tamara and great grandpa of Revy. Cherished brother of Leone MacNamara (Don), and the late Harvey Wilson (Lucille). Brother-in-Law of Joy and Ken Thompson, the late Pauline and Clare Hodgins, and the late Wanda and Ken Stapleton. Roy will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends. In his youth, ‘Wiggy Wilson’ played for the Stainton Spitfires hockey team in Wingham, where his met his bride to be. Roy worked hard as owner of Pemrow Pipelines for many years. He enjoyed summers at the cottage in Point Clark and loved to travel, his favourite place being Barbados. In retirement, he enjoyed wood working at his ‘work n store’ unit and having coffee with ‘the boys’. Special thanks to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living in Windsor for the care and compassion shown to Roy over the past year. In keeping with Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
