Obituary for Molly Tyrrell

TYRRELL, Molly (nee Chester)

(September 2, 1931 – June 24, 2018)

Molly died Sunday June 24 at the Brant Centre in Burlington, Ontario after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Survived by her husband of sixty years, James (Jim), daughter Janice Stonelake (David), daughter Laura (Ian Beverley) and her cherished grandchildren, Alex Stonelake, Erin Stonelake, Megan Beverley and Jamie Beverley. Predeceased by her son Jamie (Paula Jenkins).

Molly was born in London, England and came to Toronto in 1957. She and Jim made their home in Toronto and later in Burlington where she made life-long friends in the Newcomer’s Club.

Molly was a loving, kind wife and mother and put her family above all else. She loved bridge, books, theatre, and animals and always had a joke to tell. Her tolerance and compassion for others and her optimistic outlook will live on as an inspiration to all of us.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exemplary care that Molly received at the Brant Centre, particularly from the personal support workers and nursing staff of Spencer Creek. Thank you as well to Dr. Chris Ragonetti and Dr. Jocelyn Anderson.

Private funeral for family. If desired a contribution may be made in Molly’s name to a charity of your choice.
