Condolences

Condolence From: Christine Fernandez
Condolence: Dear Blair and family, I was so very deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dear mother. Debbie and I taught Gr. 4 together at St. Paul School out in the portables a number of years ago. I was new to the school and Debbie was always a wonderful support and mentor to me. I remember her vitality, beauty, her flair for style and her love of vintage jewelry! Debbie was always extremely professional in her dealing with students, parents and fellow staff members. Of course her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was so very proud of you Blair and loved you so much!!!! On top of that she was a great friend. She would always greet me with a great big smile and say "Hello babies!" Now I have a heavy heart as I say "Good-bye dear friend."

Condolence: Deb was a great neighbour and friend! Her courage through all her hardships were remarkable. Last coffee I had was Deb, she was so positive and hopeful to beat the odds. She fought hard and with the utmost dignity. Always with a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. We will miss Deb, but are comforted to know she is back in the arms of her beloved Robert! Together again! We pray for Blair and the family at this difficult time. Love Brenda, Richard and Jay

Condolence: I was very saddened to hear of Debbie’s passing. We worked together at Holy Family, my first school as a principal. Debbie was a strong support to me as a rookie. I could always count on her to take on any task and carry it out effectively and efficiently and with a smile all the while. Debbie was instrumental in ensuring our DARE fundraising was always outstanding. She was also good at knowing when I had had a tough day and many times I would arrive at my office the next day to find a small treat, a note or -after a particularly difficult day- a bottle of wine. Debbie was unfailingly kind, wise, resourceful, energetic, dynamic and fun- a valuable asset on our staff. She held my utmost esteem and admiration- and still does. I picture her now, somewhere warm, coaching or playing her favourite sports and getting those around her organized. The World will miss you, Debbie. You made it a better place.
