Obituary for D. Bruce Gardner

D. Bruce Gardner
In Loving Memory of D. Bruce Gardner
June 22, 1956 – May 28, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of D. Bruce Gardner into the arms of his loving Lord and Savior at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 61. Loving husband to Vickie, loving father to Sarah (Brent), Rachel and Myles (Hannah). Doting grandpa to Marcus and Nora. Brother to Rae (Gloria) and Martin (Betty Kay).
Bruce loved his Lord and Savior, a love which he passed onto his whole family and shared with everyone. He was a dedicated and hard-working contractor, who excelled in custom renovations and home building. Bruce loved wilderness camping and canoe trips. He felt closest to God when holding a paddle. His smile and humour would brighten the day of stranger and friend alike, and he never missed the chance to tell a long story to anyone who would listen. A tenderhearted man, Bruce was a wonderful friend and a ray of sunshine. His heart was full of love, laughter and life.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, June 3 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Compass Point Bible Church (1500 Kerns Road, Burlington) on Monday, June 4 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations in memory of Bruce to Reach Forth Sports Ministries would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
