SANTI, Deno Louis -

Peacefully, while surrounded by his loving family, Deno, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 20th in his 87th year. He will be sadly missed by Elvezia “Vess” Santi (nee Andreatta) , his loving wife of 62 years. Deno was the proud father of David Santi (Smila) of Calgary, Alberta, Deana Rokowski (Marty) of Lynden and Andrea Santi-Bonner (Al) of Waterdown. He was the cherished Nonno of Katelyn Rokowski, Laura, Julia and Angela Santi and Tenessa and Gregory Bonner. Deno is survived by his brother Leo Santi of Hamilton, his sister, Inez Beattie (Edward) also of Hamilton and his brother-in-law, Dan Andreatta (Gwen) of Timmins. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy. Deno was predeceased by his parents, Celeste and Lina Santi. During his working career, Deno spent over 40 years at Dofasco, retiring as Manager of Systems and Data Processing. Deno was a happy gardener, an avid golfer and a devoted fan of the Blue Jays and NFL football. Deno’s strong commitment to community service was evident in his lifelong work and membership with the Venetian Club of Hamilton. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses on the 7th floor at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their dedicated and loving care during the last few weeks. Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church (2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington), on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00am. Cremation will follow. At a future date, there will be a private interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deno’s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
