GARTSIDE, Gary

Passed away peacefully on May 17, 2018 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 84th year. Cherished father of Mike (Georgie); proud grandfather of Bryce and Jake; dear brother of Doreen Latham (Ron). Gary will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Georgina (Dennis), Dale (Kim) and Tracy (Brent).

Gary spent his entire working career at Ford Canada in Oakville. He was hired out of school as a graphic designer and then went on to run the printing department until his early retirement. Gary enjoyed his retired years with family and friends. He especially looked forward to his weekly meet-ups with his buddies at QB’s.

Visitation at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 3 – 5 p.m. Celebration of Life immediately following at 5:30 p.m. at Halton Naval Veterans Club, 2444 Industrial St. In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
