Obituary for Matthew Wilson MacLellan

Matthew Wilson  MacLellan
July 16 1935 -May 11 2018
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side May 11 2018. Dad will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving wife Rosaline (Lolly) MacLellan, sons Brent MacLellan of Calgary AB, Lance MacLellan (Julia) of Abbotsford BC, grandchildren John MacLellan (Anne), Chelsey Maclellan, great grandson Jackson MacLellan of Calgary AB. Brothers and sisters Effie Bates, Gordon MacLellan, Jessie Ritchie, Eain MacLellan (Sharon), Daniel MacLellan (Chris). Matt is sadly predeceased by his parents, his son Bradley MacLellan and his brother Alexander MacLellan and sister Donnie MacInnes. Matt was born in Glace Bay Nova Scotia and was the son of Annie and Donald MacLellan, was a long time Shriner and original member of the Burlington Old Timers club. He loved playing golf and curled for many years and always made time to get to know all who crossed his path. He was always generous with his time and laughter helping out in the community in any way he could. Matt was well known in Central Park by all the dogs and owners alike and a member of the Wellington Square United Church. His love of family and friends will always be remembered and cherished. Dad will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at The Burlington Legion; Branch 60: 828 Legion RD on Sunday May 20th from 12:00 - 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Carpenter Hospice of Burlington Ontario.
