MULROONEY, Diane Elaine (nee Mattina) -

Passed away peacefully at The Brant Centre in Burlington on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the age of 73. Loving and devoted wife of Phil Mulrooney for 50 years. Cherished mother of Shannon Mulrooney (John MacDonald) and Chris Mulrooney (Melissa). Proud grandmother of James and Carter. Dear sister of the late Bob Mattina (Mary). Predeceased by her parents James and Ruby Mattina. Diane will also be sadly missed by extended family, friends and neighbours, and numerous colleagues from her years with the Halton Catholic District School Board. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at The Brant Centre for the excellent care provided. A special thank you to Dr. Singh, and nurses Amanda and Tony for your kindness and compassion. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Guelph Line Chapel on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10:30am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington. Reception to follow at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Diane’s memory to Chartwell - Brant Centre Long Term Care Residence would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
