Obituary for Bruce Henry George Hosking

Bruce Henry George  Hosking
Peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Albright Manor in Beamsville Ontario, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 56 years to Carol (nee Judd). Cherished father to Fred (Patti Cromb) of Ottawa, Robert (John Stockwell) of Toronto and Sonja (Wayne Kohlberger) of Burlington. Brother to the late Wayne Hosking (Avon Connecticut) and Sheila Jane Hosking (Chippawa). Brother-in-law to Georgi Hosking, Carol Mae Maidens and Ross & Joyce Judd. Bruce worked for the Hamilton Board of Education as an Art Teacher and later Art department consultant for 35 years. A long time resident of Grimsby, Bruce was an active member of Trinity United Church and the Grimsby Historical Society. Once an avid reader, Bruce always had a passion for history and never missed hockey night in Canada! The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the amazing nursing staff at Albright Manor for their love, care and kindness. Friends may attend a visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held at Trinity United Church, 100 Main Street West, Grimsby, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11 a.m., where a reception will immediately follow the service. If desired, remembrances may be made to Trinity United Church, The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or The Albright Foundation.
