Obituary for Doug Gilmour

Doug  Gilmour
Passed away peacefully with family surrounding him on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Joseph Brant Hospital at the age of 75. Predeceased by his parents William and Dorita Gilmour. Former wife and best friend, Deanne Gilmour, who will always have a special place in her heart for Doug. Beloved and proud father of Michael (Karen) of Cambridge and Kimberley of Burlington. Dear Grandpa of Jacob (Heather), Emily and Carrington. Great-grandfather of Everly and Alayah. Survived by his loving sister Sandra (Bob) of B.C. He will also be lovingly remembered by many friends and business colleagues that he has made over the years. Doug's career at Eaton's spanned over 30 years. He was also known to be an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching many sports. His passion for music, especially for the vinyl records, will always be remembered. A Memorial Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Doug may be made to Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
