Obituary for Anne Catherine Long (Wilken)

Anne Catherine  Long (Wilken)
Surrounded by her loving family, Anne passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital, on April 24, 2018, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Bernhard Long for 53 years. Loving mother of Catherine, Christine and Karen . Proud grandmother of Noah, Caryss, Alexander, Jonah and Cole. Survived by her sister Doris Drysdale (Doug) of Nova Scotia. Beloved aunt of Keith Drysdale (Dorothy) and Heather Leblanc (Ray). Anne will also be missed by her extended family and friends. Anne graduated from the University of Toronto in 1959. She practiced physiotherapy in Kitchener, Hamilton, Caledonia and Hagersville for 41 years. Anne was active in her church and was a member of the Niagara Area Lutheran Choir. Anne loved to travel, garden and cook. Anne will be remembered for her strength and devotion to her family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 3-6. A Funeral Service will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church (1054 Upper Sherman Avenue, Hamilton) on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00am. Reception to follow. Private Interment. For those who wish, donations in memory of Anne to War Amps Canada or the Lutheran Women's Missionary League would be sincerely appreciated.
