CARSON, Shirley Eugean “Jean” (nee Osborne)
March 17, 1923-March 29, 2018
With her family by her side, Jean passed peacefully at Burloak Long Term Care. Cherished mother to Linda (Brent), Randy (Claudia) and the late Ronnie. Loving Gram to Scott (Melinda), and Jamie (Brendan). Loving Gaga to Candice (Scott) and Chase (Dubi). Great Gramma Jean to Nicholas, Ben, Maggie, Carlee, Chloe and Mia. Predeceased by her siblings, Audrey Moreau, Raymond Osborne, Ruth Osborne and Betty Timms. With her late husband John, Jean owned and operated Eastway Red & White on New Street in Burlington. Words cannot fully express our gratitude to Lou, Rainelda, James, Sue and all the wonderful staff of Stephenson House for the care that Mom received over the last six years. Special thanks to her care giver Dori who previously enabled Mom to stay in her home longer. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, April 4 from 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow at the Funeral Home. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. For those who wish, expressions of sympathy in memory of Jean to The Alzheimer Society, The Canadian Cancer Society or The Burlington Humane Society (formerly Animal Aid) would be sincerely appreciated.
