After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, in Oakville on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the age of 69.
Beloved husband of Ewa. Loving father of Justyna and her husband Michael. Doting dziadek of granddaughter Maya. Brother of the late Teresa (Philippe) and Krzysztof (Maria). Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Jerzy had a passion for knowledge, a keen interest in the workings of the universe, and a great appreciation of nature. He loved spending time among the mountains, lakes and rivers; hiking, canoeing, and capturing nature’s beauty on film.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. Memorial words at 4 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at CCAC, ParaMed, and Calacare for their compassionate care and support.
