Obituary for Gerald Keith "Gerry" Lesarge

LESARGE, Gerald Keith “Gerry”
Surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, Gerald (Gerry) Keith Lesarge ended his life’s journey in his 86th. year in Burlington, ON. Born and raised in Blind River, ON., he spent most of his working years in Elliot Lake, ON. He and his family loved the city. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Lineham). He was father of 6 children, Mary Ann Nichols (Joseph), Paul (deceased), Judy Flintoff (Michael), Keith (Sandra), Mark (Sheila) and Nancy Campigotto (Mario). He also is survived by his brother, Ken of Chilliwak, B.C., 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Retiring to Blind River, he spent his leisure hours golfing, curling and his favourite activity, fishing. No matter the season he could be found on a lake somewhere with a friend hoping to catch the big one. Gerry led a very active life in retirement. He built a beautiful lakefront cottage which his family, especially his grandchildren, remember with fond memories. He will be greatly missed for his friendly personality and his grandchildren will miss his welcoming greeting of “Hi my chum”. Rest in Peace, Gerry. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road, Burlington on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1p.m. Visitation from 12:30p.m. until the time of mass. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gerry are asked to please consider the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Campaign Life Coalition or a local charity helping the homeless and those in need.
