Passed away peacefully at McNally House on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the age of 80. Predeceased by her beloved husband John. Loving mother of Brenda Seymour (Tom), Roxanne Boisvert-Newman (Cindy) and Michelle Arrowsmith (Frank). Cherished grandmother of Brendan Brewster (Josh), Amy Bedard, Kelly Sanderson (Ben), Jennifer McDonnell (Paul) and Janet Arrowsmith. Proud great-grandmother of Lauren, Kate, Alxxander, Nikholas, Gavin and Jane. Predeceased by her sister Adele. Dear aunt of Blake Hall (Debbie), Keith Hall (Glory) and Holden Glenn Hall (Rhonda). Missed also by many friends. Joan loved her Hamilton Bulldogs and attending many sport events- she was the best fan for everybody. Special thanks to the staff of McNally House, especially to Andy and Sue, for their sincere care and compassion. As per Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. with Prayers held at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice, Grimsby or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date, to be announced.
