Obituary for Wilhelmina Gertrude "Mimi" VanderSpank (Olde Bolhaar)

Passed away at McNally House, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry. Loved mother of Yvonne Baines (Richard) and Norma Linkiewicz. Cherished Oma of Geoffrey Baines (Sandra), Stephen Baines (Holly) and Tashawna Linkiewicz (Joel) and great-Oma of Sydney Baines. Survived by her brothers Bernhard, Joop (Stiny) and cousin Walter Olde Bolhaar. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Mimi was a happy resident of Grimsby for over 50 years and during that time, she and Harry were the proud owners of the Duchess restaurant. After retirement they both enjoyed travelling and vacationing in Florida. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 5-8 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
